Vero Beach Art Club

VOLUNTEER Opportunities

Volunteers are our most important asset

The Vero Beach Art Club is made up of approximately 450+ members, most of whom volunteer at our events, meetings, and keep our Club running smoothly. The Art Club is a non profit 501(c)3 organization and only has 1 full time and 1 part time employee who work in the office processing payments, updating our website, maintaining our calendars and other important duties to keep the operations running smoothly.

Without our volunteers, we could not offer our events, or provide the funds for scholarships and to support art education in the greater Vero Beach area. Nor could we contribute so much beauty through Art in Public Places.

Our Club depends on volunteers and offers many different types of volunteer opportunities throughout the year. We have volunteers who work from home, work only on a specific event or area, or chair a large event or project. Please fill out your Volunteer Application today, listing your talents, areas of interest, and availability. You may also contact our Volunteer Coordinators (contact information is at the bottom of this page) if you have any questions, or would like to speak to someone about volunteering.

We are forming an ad hoc Education/Scholarship Committee and are looking for volunteers. We are interested in exploring ideas to make a better connection to our schools, art teachers, students and children. We also need someone who is computer proficient. Please contact our Volunteer Coordinators if you are interested.

From time to time as our volunteer members pass the torch, there are vacancies in our Committee Chairs and Co-Chairs. To see our current vacancies by program or event, click on the link below for details about these and other important opportunities.

Please feel free to contact any of our Event Chairs to volunteer at any or all of our events. We need volunteers for many different areas from processing applications, to event set up, to serving food or wine, to greeting the public. We would love to have you volunteer, so please feel free to contact our Event Chairs, Committee Chairs, Board, Members or the office if your have questions or are interested.

Each year in November our members make ornaments and decorate a tree that will be auctioned off at Festival of Trees to benefit the Riverside Children's Theatre. We set a theme or color scheme and our artists create all kinds of amazing and unique ornaments, a tree topper and tree skirt to adorn the tree. Click on the button below for more information.

Volunteer hours are awarded for bringing finger foods and helping to set up and clean up at our General Meeting Social Time. Contact Susan Ivy, our Hospitality Chair if interested.

Each month that our meetings are held at the Vero Beach Museum of Art, the Finger Foods served before the meeting are prepared by our membership on a volunteer basis. Whether you are looking for Volunteer Hours or not, we would appreciate having anyone who is able, bring something to share.

It is also important to contact Susan Ivy to let her know what you are bringing, so we have a nice balance of foods to serve. Please bring your food to the kitchen no later than 6:15 p.m., so it can be unwrapped and prepared for presentation at 6:30.

We are so thankful that our Club has so many wonderful people who give of their time and talent to make our Club successful and this is just one more way you can help out.

This person would not replace our Historian, but be submitting information for our Historian to archive. Materials may be dropped off to the office. Please contact our Volunteer Coordinators if you are interested in volunteering for this position.

Our members volunteer and participate in events or projects that benefit our community in many ways. The Vero Beach Art Club donates to local schools and organizations to help support our mission and vision for enriching lives through art. We also create projects to benefit our local community in many different ways, including large murals for Art in Public Places. If you would like to volunteer, please fill out our Volunteer Application, noting the medium, area, event or other specific way you would like to volunteer. You are always welcome to be a general volunteer for any need that may arise. If you are interested in, or know of a special project that you feel would benefit our community, please contact our current President Rosemary Polsky-Newman so we may bring it before the Board of Directors.
