VBAC in the Community
The Vero Beach Art Club is a 501(c)(3) Non Profit Corporation that strives to better the community through education, scholarships, exhibits & shows, and other social events. Partnerships throughout the community, along with the generosity of donors, allow the Vero Beach Art Club to bring art to everyone via or expansive outreach program. The club offers scholarships to graduating seniors looking to study the arts, grants for young students to attend art classes and camps, and a number of community improvement projects. Vero Beach Art club aims to increase the visibility of art in public spaces, and allow everyone--regardless of limitations--to make and enjoy art.

Scholarships
The Vero Beach Art Club awards scholarships to Indian River County high school seniors annually to further their study in the arts. These scholarships are possible due to the generosity of VBAC members and individual contributors. In 2023, the club offered three $2000 scholarships to students at Vero Beach High School and Indian River Charter School. To apply for a scholarship, students may submit three examples of their artwork long with reference letters from their art teacher or an art-related mentor. Arts for Smarts
In partnership with the School District of Indian River County each year, the Vero Beach Art Club donates $100 to local art teachers to use toward art supplies. In the 2022-2023 season alone, the Art Club donated to 18 public elementary and middle schools throughout Indian River County for a total of $1800 in support.
Veterans’ Program
Once a month Vero Beach Art Club hosts local veterans interested in creating art as a form of therapy. These classes are taught by several member artists and may include painting, drawing, and other art forms to help create a sense of community among our local veterans. All skill levels are welcome to attend this growing program.
Let’s Play to Beat Breast Cancer
In the U.S., one in eight women will develop invasive breast cancer during their lifetime.
Many will undergo treatments that deeply affect both their physical and emotional well-being.
While support groups, therapy, and meditation are often available, there are few spaces dedicated to fun, joy, and creative play — moments that remind us of our inner light and resilience.
That’s where “Let’s Play to Beat Breast Cancer” comes in. This low-cost program, offered through local art centers and volunteer artists, provides a stress-free, uplifting space for women affected by breast cancer to express themselves through art.
Here, participants are invited to let go of pressure and perfection — to simply play, imagine, and create. Through this process, many rediscover moments of joy, relief, and renewed hope within themselves.
