FESTIVAL OF TREES
Thursday, November 18 & 19, 2017
Children's Riverside Theatre
ATTENTION ART CLUB MEMBERS
We are participating in decorating one of the trees in the Festival of Trees for the Riverside Children's Theatre. Finished trees will be auctioned off to benefit the Theatre. We need a volunteer to decorate our tree on November 14th. We will need a volunteer to make a tree topper related to song, possibly a decoupage of Louie and his horn, foam board works well with a dowel so we can attach it to the tree. We also need a tree skirt with decorations or anything related to the song.

If you are interested in volunteering for any these needs, please contact Bobbie Matus at glassylady1@bellsouth.net

The theme for this year's Festival of Tree's is Louis Armstrong's "What a Wonderful World".
For the complete lyrics and music watch this YouTube – Louis Armstrong’s What a Wonderful World Lyrics
Lyrics:
I see trees of green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you
And I think to myself what a wonderful world
I see skies of blue and clouds of white
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night
And I think to myself what a wonderful world
The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by
I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do
They're really saying I love you
I hear babies crying, I watch them grow
They'll learn much more than I'll never know
And I think to myself what a wonderful world
Yes I think to myself what a wonderful world

The ornaments need to be turned into the office by Monday, November 13th.
Tree decorating will take place November 14th at the Children's Riverside Theatre.

Decorations ideas for the tree would be anything related to the song (no particular color scheme as the song mentions specific colors throughout the lyrics):
Ornaments painted like a World
Green Trees
Baby
Red Roses
Music Notes
Blue Sky
Hearts saying "I Love You"
White Clouds
Words from the song
Rainbows
Louie Armstrong, his Horn
Faces of People
Shaking Hands
